The Daffodils--- by William Wordsworth
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
我像一片浮雲孤獨地漫遊
高高飄過山谷和小丘，
驀然間我看見，
一簇簇金黃色的水仙;
在樹下，在湖邊，
迎著微風，起舞翩翩。
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
像銀河中的繁星綿延不絕，
時而閃爍，時而亮眼，
水仙花無盡的伸展
沿著湖的邊緣。
一眼望去，成萬成千，
擺頭搖曳，快樂似仙。
The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A Poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed--and gazed--but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
水波在它們身邊揚起，
但晶瑩浪花不如它們歡愉：
身處花海的陪伴，
詩人怎能不開心。
我不斷地凝視，卻未思及
當前美景令我如此富足。
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
我經常躺在長椅，
心靈放空，思緒沉澱，
水仙花影在我心眼乍現，
帶來孤寂中的幸福;
這時喜悅洋溢心田，
心中起舞，伴同水仙。
《後記》
在我大學時期，曾經唸過這首膾炙人口的英詩，當時讀完，讓我印象深刻，久久難忘，至今仍然回味無窮。雖然此詩表面所呈現的，只是單純地描寫金黃色的水仙花，成群地迎風搖曳，飛舞翩翩，但詩人的心早就與它們融合為一了。他不但藉詩讚嘆水仙花的純潔秀麗，同時也頌揚它們的與世無爭。我想這首詩除了給我們視覺上的享受外，應該也有暗示著我們有時不妨要懂得放下生活中的壓力與俗務，多接近大自然，欣賞天地間的一花，一草，一木；如此一來，不但可以洗滌心中積久的塵埃，也會讓我們領悟到有時處於孤寂安靜反而會使自己的心靈更加澄淨。小小心得與大家分享，盼各位網友都有感受到這份美的饗宴。 謝謝您的光臨和共賞。
